CVSS v3.1 |
In multiple locations, there is a possible side channel information leak due to improperly used crypto. This could lead to paired device information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
| A vulnerability in OpenText OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) allows Black Box Reverse Engineering.
This issue affects OpenText Directory Services (OTDS): from 22.1 to 26.2 |
`GET /api/v1/users/{username}/heatmap` computed the contribution heatmap with the repository access of the token owner and ignored the public-only restriction of the access token, unlike the activity feed endpoints. A holder of a user's public-only token could read contribution counts and their 15-minute time buckets that stem from that user's activity in private repositories. Repository names and contents were not disclosed. For public-only tokens the heatmap now only counts activity visible to anonymous users.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's memory deduplication mechanism. The max page sharing of Kernel Samepage Merging (KSM), added in Linux kernel version 4.4.0-96.119, can create a side channel. When the attacker and the victim share the same host and the default setting of KSM is "max page sharing=256", it is possible for the attacker to time the unmap to merge with the victim's page. The unmapping time depends on whether it merges with the victim's page and additional physical pages are created beyond the KSM's "max page share". Through these operations, the attacker can leak the victim's page.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. From 6.0.0 until 8.3.0, interface/globals.php uses the unauthenticated authUser login parameter to populate temp_authuserid and load that account's user_settings before authentication succeeds. Existing usernames can therefore cause an additional database query and may apply visible customized settings, while nonexistent usernames skip that behavior. A remote unauthenticated actor can use timing or page differences to enumerate valid accounts for later credential attacks. This issue is fixed in version 8.3.0.
Observable discrepancy in Paint in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Observable discrepancy in Forms in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low)
Observable discrepancy in CORS in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to obtain cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low)
A timing-based side-channel flaw exists in the rust-openssl package, which could be sufficient to recover a plaintext across a network in a Bleichenbacher-style attack. To achieve successful decryption, an attacker would have to be able to send a large number of trial messages for decryption. The vulnerability affects the legacy PKCS#1v1.5 RSA encryption padding mode.
A timing-based side-channel flaw exists in the perl-Crypt-OpenSSL-RSA package, which could be sufficient to recover plaintext across a network in a Bleichenbacher-style attack. To achieve successful decryption, an attacker would have to be able to send a large number of trial messages. The vulnerability affects the legacy PKCS#1v1.5 RSA encryption padding mode.
A timing side-channel vulnerability has been discovered in the opencryptoki package while processing RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 padded ciphertexts. This flaw could potentially enable unauthorized RSA ciphertext decryption or signing, even without access to the corresponding private key.
A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS. The response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from the response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. This issue may allow a remote attacker to perform a timing side-channel attack in the RSA-PSK key exchange, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive data. CVE-2024-0553 is designated as an incomplete resolution for CVE-2023-5981.
A Marvin vulnerability side-channel leakage was found in the RSA decryption operation in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a network attacker to decrypt ciphertexts or forge signatures, limiting the services that use that private key.
A vulnerability was found in OpenSC where PKCS#1 encryption padding removal is not implemented as side-channel resistant. This issue may result in the potential leak of private data.
A vulnerability was found that the response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding.
Observable discrepancy in Animation in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Observable discrepancy in Canvas in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Observable discrepancy in ComputePressure in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Observable discrepancy in Forms in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
