CVE-2026-80644 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: don't BUG_ON an invalid journal dinode [BUG] A fuzzed OCFS2 image can corrupt the current slot journal dinode while mount is still in progress. The mount path first reports the invalid journal block and then crashes in shutdown: kernel BUG at fs/ocfs2/journal.c:1034! [CAUSE] ocfs2_journal_toggle_dirty() used to return -EIO when journal->j_bh no longer contained a valid dinode, because the startup and shutdown paths already handled that failure. Commit 10995aa2451a ("ocfs2: Morph the haphazard OCFS2_IS_VALID_DINODE() checks.") changed the check to a BUG_ON() under the assumption that the journal dinode had already been validated. That turns an unexpected invalid journal dinode during mount teardown into a kernel crash instead of a normal mount failure. [FIX] Replace the BUG_ON() with WARN_ON() and return -EIO. This keeps the invariant warning for debugging, but restores the original behavior of failing startup or shutdown cleanly instead of panicking the kernel.

CVE-2026-68133 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix PTP Call Trace during PTP release If a PF reset occurs when the PTP state is ICE_PTP_UNINIT, then ice_ptp_rebuild() will update the state to ICE_PTP_ERROR. This will result in the following PTP release call trace during driver unload: kernel BUG at lib/list_debug.c:52! ice_ptp_release+0x332/0x3c0 [ice] ice_deinit_features.part.0+0x10e/0x120 [ice] ice_remove+0x100/0x220 [ice] This was observed when passing PF1 through to a VM. ice_ptp_init() fails because ctrl_pf is NULL and sets the state to ICE_PTP_UNINIT. Fix by detecting the ICE_PTP_UNINIT state in ice_ptp_rebuild() and returning without error, preventing the invalid state transition to ICE_PTP_ERROR. The only valid path to ICE_PTP_ERROR is from ICE_PTP_RESETTING after a failed rebuild.

CVE-2026-53352 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: signal: clear JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for caller in zap_other_threads() When a multi-threaded process receives a stop signal (e.g., SIGSTOP), do_signal_stop() sets JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING and JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME on all threads and sets signal->group_stop_count to the number of threads. If one of the threads concurrently calls execve(), de_thread() invokes zap_other_threads() to kill all other threads. zap_other_threads() aborts the pending group stop by resetting signal->group_stop_count to 0 and clears the JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for all other threads. However, it fails to clear the job control flags for the calling thread. When execve() completes, the calling thread returns to user mode and checks for pending signals. Seeing the stale JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING flag, it calls do_signal_stop(), which invokes task_participate_group_stop(). Since JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME is still set, it attempts to decrement the already-zero signal->group_stop_count, triggering a warning: sig->group_stop_count == 0 WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 6475 at kernel/signal.c:373 task_participate_group_stop+0x215/0x2d0 Call Trace: <TASK> do_signal_stop+0x3be/0x5c0 kernel/signal.c:2619 get_signal+0xa8c/0x1330 kernel/signal.c:2884 arch_do_signal_or_restart+0xbc/0x840 arch/x86/kernel/signal.c:337 exit_to_user_mode_loop+0x8c/0x4d0 kernel/entry/common.c:98 do_syscall_64+0x33e/0xf80 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:100 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f </TASK> Fix this race condition by clearing the JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for the calling thread in zap_other_threads(), ensuring it does not retain any stale job control state after the thread group is destroyed. This aligns with other functions that tear down a thread group and abort group stops, such as zap_process() and complete_signal(), which correctly clear these flags for all threads including the current one.
CVE-2026-53285 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Wrap DCN32 phantom-plane allocation in DC_RUN_WITH_PREEMPTION_ENABLED [Why] dcn32_validate_bandwidth() wraps dcn32_internal_validate_bw() with DC_FP_START()/DC_FP_END(). In x86 non-RT, DC_FP_START takes fpregs_lock(), which disables local softirqs. The DML1 path through dcn32_enable_phantom_plane() calls kvzalloc() to allocate ~335 KiB for dc_plane_state. This triggers the vmalloc path, which calls BUG_ON(in_interrupt()) because it's invoked within the FPU-enabled (softirq disabled) region, leading to a kernel crash. [How] Wrap the dc_state_create_phantom_plane() call with the DC_RUN_WITH_PREEMPTION_ENABLED() macro to allow preemption during this memory allocation. CVE-2026-46220 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/sdma4: replace BUG_ON with WARN_ON in fence emission sdma_v4_0_ring_emit_fence() contains two BUG_ON(addr & 0x3) assertions that verify fence writeback addresses are dword-aligned. These assertions can be reached from unprivileged userspace via crafted DRM_IOCTL_AMDGPU_CS submissions, causing a fatal kernel panic in a scheduler worker thread. Replace both BUG_ON() calls with WARN_ON() to log the condition without crashing the kernel. A misaligned fence address at this point indicates a driver bug, but crashing the kernel is never the correct response when the assertion is reachable from userspace. The CS IOCTL path is the correct place to filter invalid submissions; the ring emission callback is too late to do anything about it. CVE-2026-43346 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: ptp: don't WARN when controlling PF is unavailable In VFIO passthrough setups, it is possible to pass through only a PF which doesn't own the source timer. In that case the PTP controlling PF (adapter->ctrl_pf) is never initialized in the VM, so ice_get_ctrl_ptp() returns NULL and triggers WARN_ON() in ice_ptp_setup_pf(). Since this is an expected behavior in that configuration, replace WARN_ON() with an informational message and return -EOPNOTSUPP.
CVE-2026-43344 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix die ID init and look up bugs In snbep_pci2phy_map_init(), in the nr_node_ids > 8 path, uncore_device_to_die() may return -1 when all CPUs associated with the UBOX device are offline. Remove the WARN_ON_ONCE(die_id == -1) check for two reasons: - The current code breaks out of the loop. This is incorrect because pci_get_device() does not guarantee iteration in domain or bus order, so additional UBOX devices may be skipped during the scan. - Returning -EINVAL is incorrect, since marking offline buses with die_id == -1 is expected and should not be treated as an error. Separately, when NUMA is disabled on a NUMA-capable platform, pcibus_to_node() returns NUMA_NO_NODE, causing uncore_device_to_die() to return -1 for all PCI devices. As a result, spr_update_device_location(), used on Intel SPR and EMR, ignores the corresponding PMON units and does not add them to the RB tree. Fix this by using uncore_pcibus_to_dieid(), which retrieves topology from the UBOX GIDNIDMAP register and works regardless of whether NUMA is enabled in Linux. This requires snbep_pci2phy_map_init() to be added in spr_uncore_pci_init(). Keep uncore_device_to_die() only for the nr_node_ids > 8 case, where NUMA is expected to be enabled.
CVE-2026-43308 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium

CVE-2024-8354 2 Qemu, Redhat 4 Qemu, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in QEMU. An assertion failure was present in the usb_ep_get() function in hw/net/core.c when trying to get the USB endpoint from a USB device. This flaw may allow a malicious unprivileged guest user to crash the QEMU process on the host and cause a denial of service condition.
CVE-2026-120749 2 Red Hat, Redhat 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 2 more 2026-11-06 6.2 Medium
A flaw was found in D-Bus. With a privileged Monitoring client attached (for example dbus-monitor or busctl monitor), an unprivileged local user can cause dbus-daemon to abort if a driver-originated broadcast such as NameOwnerChanged or ActivatableServicesChanged cannot be delivered to a recipient (for example due to a deny rule or an exceeded outgoing message queue). Driver broadcasts still use serial 0; when delivery fails, composing the monitor error reply asserts reply_serial != 0 and aborts the daemon. This is an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-34969, which only assigned serials for driver messages sent to a single recipient. On the well-known system bus this is a denial of service.
CVE-2026-91147 1 Redhat 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift Dev Spaces, Openshift Devspaces and 1 more 2026-11-06 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in `cockpit-ws`. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a specially crafted request. When the `WebService.UrlRoot` is configured and a request is made to the exact URL-root prefix without a trailing slash, `cockpit-ws` can terminate unexpectedly. This issue leads to the unavailability of the Cockpit web service.
CVE-2026-89098 2 Nfs, Redhat 5 Nfs-utils, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in nfs-utils. The fsidd daemon improperly handles input received over its local domain socket by relying on program assertions to verify command arguments. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by sending a malformed request lacking the required arguments to trigger an assertion failure. This causes the daemon to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for filesystem identifier lookup services until restarted.
