CVE-2026-74397 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/mlx5: Fix transport-domain rollback and initialize lb mutex earlier mlx5_ib_alloc_transport_domain() allocates a transport domain and then may fail in mlx5_ib_enable_lb(). In that case, the allocated TD is leaked. Fix this by deallocating the TD when mlx5_ib_enable_lb() returns an error. Also return 0 explicitly in the no-loopback-capability success branch, and move dev->lb.mutex initialization to mlx5_ib_stage_init_init().
CVE-2026-72438 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid10: fix writes_pending and barrier reference leaks on discard failures raid10_make_request() acquires a writes_pending reference with md_write_start() before calling raid10_handle_discard(). Several failure paths in raid10_handle_discard() complete the bio and return without releasing the corresponding reference, causing md_write_end() to be skipped. Call md_write_end() before returning from these failure paths to keep writes_pending accounting balanced. Additionally, discard split allocation failures can occur after wait_barrier() succeeds. Those paths return without calling allow_barrier(), leaking the associated barrier reference. Release the barrier before returning from those paths.
CVE-2026-72144 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: dell-laptop: fix missing cleanups in init error path dell_init() initializes several resources after dell_setup_rfkill(), including the optional touchpad LED, keyboard backlight LED, battery hook, debugfs directory and dell-laptop notifier. If a later LED or backlight registration fails, the error path only tears down the battery hook and rfkill resources. This leaves the notifier, debugfs directory, keyboard backlight LED and optional touchpad LED registered after dell_init() returns an error. Add the missing cleanup calls before tearing down rfkill.
CVE-2026-68238 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Release VFCT ACPI table reference amdgpu_acpi_vfct_bios() fetches the VFCT table with acpi_get_table() but never releases it. acpi_get_table() takes a reference on the table (incrementing its validation_count and mapping it on the 0->1 transition); without a paired acpi_put_table() the mapping is leaked on every call, whether or not a matching VBIOS image is found. Route all exit paths after the table is acquired through a common acpi_put_table(). The VBIOS image is copied out with kmemdup() before the table is released, so it remains valid for the caller. CVE-2026-68203 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: vivid: fix cleanup bugs in vivid_init() When platform_device_register() fails in vivid_init(), the embedded struct device in vivid_pdev has already been initialized by device_initialize(), but the failure path jumps to free_output_strings without dropping the device reference for the current platform device: vivid_init() -> platform_device_register(&vivid_pdev) -> device_initialize(&vivid_pdev.dev) -> setup_pdev_dma_masks(&vivid_pdev) -> platform_device_add(&vivid_pdev) This leads to a reference leak when platform_device_register() fails. Fix this by calling platform_device_put() before jumping to the common cleanup path. Also, the unreg_driver label incorrectly calls platform_driver_register() instead of platform_driver_unregister(), which breaks cleanup when workqueue creation fails after successful driver registration. Fix that as well. The reference leak was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. The incorrect cleanup call was found during code inspection.
CVE-2026-68102 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix aperture mapping leak amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_unplug() before invoking the driver fini routines. This causes drm_dev_enter() in amdgpu_ttm_fini() to always return false, so iounmap(aper_base_kaddr) never runs on normal driver unload, leaving an orphaned entry in the x86 PAT interval tree. On connected_to_cpu hardware, the aperture is mapped write-back (WB) via ioremap_cache(). On reload, IP discovery calls memremap(..., MEMREMAP_WC) over the same range. The WC vs WB conflict causes: ioremap error for 0x..., requested 0x1, got 0x0 amdgpu: discovery failed: -2 Fix by switching to devres-managed mappings so cleanup is guaranteed regardless of drm_dev_enter() state: - connected_to_cpu path: devm_memremap(MEMREMAP_WB). For IORESOURCE_SYSTEM_RAM ranges this takes the try_ram_remap() shortcut, returning __va(offset) from the existing kernel direct map. No new ioremap VA or PAT entry is created, so there is nothing to orphan. - dGPU path: devm_ioremap_wc() registers iounmap() as a devres action, guaranteeing cleanup at device_del() time. Also remove iounmap(aper_base_kaddr) from amdgpu_device_unmap_mmio() since the mapping is now devres-owned. v2: Remove redundant x86_64 guard (Lijo) (cherry picked from commit d871e99879cb5fd1fa798b006b4888887e63a17a)
CVE-2026-53377 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: always recover the gpu Previously, in case there was no more work to do, recover worker wouldn't trigger recovery and would instead rely on the gpu going to sleep and then resuming when more work is submitted. Recover_worker will first increment the fence of the hung ring so, if there's only one job submitted to a ring and that causes an hang, it will early out. There's no guarantee that the gpu will suspend and resume before more work is submitted and if the gpu is in a hung state it will stay in that state and probably trigger a timeout again. Just stop checking and always recover the gpu. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/704066/
CVE-2026-53229 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: xsk: Fix DMA and xdp_frame leak on XDP_TX xmit failure In the XSK branch of mlx5e_xmit_xdp_buff(), when sq->xmit_xdp_frame() returns false (e.g. XDPSQ is full), the function returns without unmapping the DMA address or freeing the xdp_frame allocated by xdp_convert_zc_to_xdp_frame(). The xdpi_fifo push only happens on success, so the completion path cannot recover these entries. With CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG=y, the leak surfaces on driver unbind: DMA-API: pci 0000:08:00.0: device driver has pending DMA allocations while released from device [count=1116] One of leaked entries details: [device address=0x000000010ffd7028] [size=1534 bytes] [mapped with DMA_TO_DEVICE] [mapped as phy] WARNING: kernel/dma/debug.c:881 at dma_debug_device_change+0x127/0x180 ... DMA-API: Mapped at: debug_dma_map_phys+0x4b/0xd0 dma_map_phys+0xfd/0x2d0 mlx5e_xdp_handle+0x5ae/0xac0 [mlx5_core] mlx5e_xsk_skb_from_cqe_mpwrq_linear+0xc4/0x170 [mlx5_core] mlx5e_handle_rx_cqe_mpwrq+0xc1/0x290 [mlx5_core] Add the missing unmap + xdp_return_frame, matching the cleanup already done in mlx5e_xdp_xmit(). has_frags is rejected earlier in this branch, so no per-frag unmap is needed.
CVE-2026-31722 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_rndis: Fix net_device lifecycle with device_move The net_device is allocated during function instance creation and registered during the bind phase with the gadget device as its sysfs parent. When the function unbinds, the parent device is destroyed, but the net_device survives, resulting in dangling sysfs symlinks: console:/ # ls -l /sys/class/net/usb0 lrwxrwxrwx ... /sys/class/net/usb0 -> /sys/devices/platform/.../gadget.0/net/usb0 console:/ # ls -l /sys/devices/platform/.../gadget.0/net/usb0 ls: .../gadget.0/net/usb0: No such file or directory Use device_move() to reparent the net_device between the gadget device tree and /sys/devices/virtual across bind and unbind cycles. During the final unbind, calling device_move(NULL) moves the net_device to the virtual device tree before the gadget device is destroyed. On rebinding, device_move() reparents the device back under the new gadget, ensuring proper sysfs topology and power management ordering. To maintain compatibility with legacy composite drivers (e.g., multi.c), the borrowed_net flag is used to indicate whether the network device is shared and pre-registered during the legacy driver's bind phase.
CVE-2026-23330 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: complete pending data exchange on device close In nci_close_device(), complete any pending data exchange before closing. The data exchange callback (e.g. rawsock_data_exchange_complete) holds a socket reference. CVE-2026-100076 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix xmit_frame/xmit_buf leaks on mgnt-frame error paths issue_beacon(), issue_probersp() and issue_asocrsp() obtain a management xmit_frame together with its xmit_buf from the driver's fixed-size management-TX pools via alloc_mgtxmitframe(). On the normal path the frame is handed to dump_mgntframe(), which transfers ownership and eventually returns both objects to their pools (the frame and, for beacons, the buf in rtl8723bs_mgnt_xmit(); other bufs via the pending-xmitbuf/TX-completion path). Several error/edge paths return early after a successful alloc_mgtxmitframe() but before dump_mgntframe(), so ownership is never transferred and neither object is freed: - issue_beacon(): beacon larger than 512 bytes - issue_probersp(): cur_network->ie_length > MAX_IE_SZ - issue_probersp(): kzalloc() of the SSID scratch buffer fails - issue_asocrsp(): pkt_type is neither ASSOCRSP nor REASSOCRSP Because alloc_mgtxmitframe() removes the frame and buf from their free lists (list_del_init) without placing them on any pending list, an orphaned pair is on no list and referenced by nobody, so it is only reclaimed at driver teardown. Repeated hits progressively exhaust the management-TX pools until alloc_mgtxmitframe() returns NULL and the interface can no longer send beacons or probe/assoc responses. Free the frame and buffer on these paths, matching the existing correct error handling in issue_assocreq().
CVE-2026-99149 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix GEM object leak on ENOMEM in userptr ioctl When amdgpu_hmm_range_alloc() fails amdgpu_gem_userptr_ioctl() returns -ENOMEM right away and skips the cleanup every other error path goes through. The GEM object, the bo->parent reference on the VM root and the MMU notifier registration are all left behind. Use release_object here, not user_pages_done, range is still NULL at this point. CVE-2026-98961 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: unlock inode and extent in caller when io_uring read extent fails btrfs_uring_read_extent() runs only after btrfs_encoded_read() has taken the inode shared lock and the extent lock. On failure it used to unlock in out_fail, and a pages-array allocation failure returned -ENOMEM without unlocking at all. Unlock in the caller instead on all failure returns, matching the copy_to_user() error path. The deferred -EIOCBQUEUED path still unlocks in btrfs_uring_read_finished().
CVE-2026-98913 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderx: fix PTP device ref leak in nicvf_probe() cavium_ptp_get() acquires a reference to the PTP PCI device through pci_get_device(). If any initialization step fails after cavium_ptp_get(), the PTP PCI device reference is leaked. Add a common error path to release the PTP reference before returning from probe failures.
CVE-2026-98948 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_flower: Fix port range register leak in tmplt_create() mlxsw_sp_flower_tmplt_create() parses a flow_cls_offload template into a stack-local struct mlxsw_sp_acl_rule_info purely to compute rulei.values.elusage. Parsing can acquire port range registers via mlxsw_sp_flower_parse_ports_range(), but since this rulei never goes through mlxsw_sp_acl_rulei_destroy(), those registers were never released, including through chain template deletion. Factor out of mlxsw_sp_acl_rulei_destroy() the code to actually release the necessary resources and call from mlxsw_sp_flower_tmplt_create() to plug the leak. The issue was found during a review of Wentao Liang's patch referenced below.
CVE-2026-98962 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: free iov when btrfs_uring_read_extent() fails After btrfs_uring_read_extent(), the caller always jumped to out_acct. That skips kfree(data->iov), which is only correct for -EIOCBQUEUED where the deferred path owns the iov. On failure, fall through to out_free instead.
CVE-2026-98989 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: check a recursive bind mount for mount namespace loops do_loopback() refuses to bind mount the file of a mount namespace that is as old as the caller's or older because a mount namespace that holds a mount of its own file, or of an ancestor's, would cause a cycle. But it only checks the dentry the bind mount starts from. With MS_REC everything below it is copied and do_loopback() passes CL_COPY_MNT_NS_FILE so mount namespace files below the source are copied. That's fine for a source in the caller's own mount namespace. Every mount namespace file in there passed the same check when it was bind-mounted. It isn't fine for a source in another mount namespace. may_copy_tree() accepts a bind mount of any nsfs or pidfs file no matter what mount namespace it lives in so that /proc/<pid>/ns/<ns> and pidfds can be bind mounted. If we create a bind-mount stack of mount namespaces file descriptors the kernel will copy them irrespective of their ancestoral relationship to the mount namespace in question: 151 146 0:7 net:[4026531833] /tmp/nrc/y rw - nsfs nsfs rw 152 151 0:7 mnt:[4026532293] /tmp/nrc/y rw - nsfs nsfs rw Mount 152 is a mount of the mount namespace file of mount namespace 4026532293 inside mount namespace 4026532293. That namespace and every mount in it are leaked... All it takes is a process in an older mount namespace that stacks the file and repeating it leaks without limit: after control: Shmem: 380 kB child: mount(/proc/self/fd/6, MS_BIND|MS_REC): ok after cycle: Shmem: 65916 kB do_move_mount() runs check_for_nsfs_mounts() over a detached tree for exactly that reason. Do the same for the copy before it is grafted.
CVE-2026-99047 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: fix XSK buffer leak when rings are stopped GVE does not free XSK buffers when resetting ring state as a part of stopping queues. This causes all XSK buffers which are posted to the NIC to be leaked. Free XSK buffers attached to an allocated buf_state when stopping rings. This issue was hit in production.
CVE-2026-99023 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: sequencing: pcie-m2: Fix leaking array from of_regulator_bulk_get_all() of_regulator_bulk_get_all() allocates the consumers array and hands it to the caller, who is expected to free it at an appropriate time. pwrseq-pcie-m2.c never did, leading to a memory leak. Add an explicit kfree() for the consumers array.
CVE-2026-99026 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: team: free skb when broadcast has no txable port bc_transmit() sends the original skb through the last txable port. When no port is txable, it returns false without consuming the skb, but team_xmit() still returns NETDEV_TX_OK. AF_PACKET sends then retain the skb and its socket write-memory charge. A TX-enabled, link-down port keeps the broadcast transmit op installed. Carrier can stay up through a second link-up, TX-disabled port or be forced on by userspace. Free the original skb on the no-port path while leaving the existing drop accounting intact. Discovered by Sashiko during review of previous commit.
