| Incorrect Authorization in ContentPermissionServices in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker holding only a limited content-create permission to self-grant the OWNER role on arbitrary content by invoking the createContentRole service (e.g. via the createForumGroupRole request), causing the permission check to fall through to a fail-open default-grant branch when no ContentPurposeOperation entry matches the requested operation and content purpose, rather than denying the request. A self-granted OWNER role then satisfies the ownership check used to authorize update, removal, and status changes on that content, giving the attacker full read/write/delete control over content they should not have access to. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |

| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption in ServiceMultiEventHandler in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to pin a server request thread for an attacker-chosen number of synchronous service dispatches, up to the signed-integer maximum, by submitting a single small HTTP request whose parameter names encode a row count via the "o" suffix used by multi-form submissions, because UtilHttp.getMultiFormRowCount derives that count from the largest such suffix with no upper bound and ServiceMultiEventHandler.invoke then loops that many times calling dispatcher.runSync, with the request-map for getFinAccountTransRunningTotalAndBalances reaching this handler with no authentication or CSRF requirement on a stock deployment. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |
| Server-Side Request Forgery in ViewDataFile in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker holding only the base webtools permissions (OFBTOOLS_VIEW, WEBTOOLS_VIEW) to cause the server to issue arbitrary outbound HTTP requests, and an attacker additionally holding ENTITY_MAINT and DATAFILE_MAINT to read arbitrary local files via a file: URL, by supplying the DEFINITION_LOCATION or DATAFILE_LOCATION request parameter to the viewdatafile screen, because ViewDataFile.groovy dereferences both parameters as java.net.URL objects with no scheme allow-list, host filter, or egress control inside a screen action that runs before the screen's and template's permission checks are evaluated, so the fetch executes regardless of whether the requesting account is authorized to view its result. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |

| Missing Authorization in ProductSearchEvents in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker holding only catalog view permission to bulk-modify product category and feature associations across arbitrary search results by seeding a broad product search and then invoking search-result mutation events such as searchRemoveFromCategory, searchExpireFromCategory, searchAddToCategory, searchAddFeature, and searchRemoveFeature, causing the servlet to authorize the request against only the base view-level permission declared on the request-map while the underlying event methods perform bulk entity-engine deletes/inserts without checking the DELETE/CREATE permission enforced by the equivalent service-layer operations (e.g. removeProductFromCategory). | Sonatype Nexus Repository 3 does not check that a user account is authorized to access a repository before the repository is added as a member of a group repository. A user account that has signed in with valid credentials and holds the add or edit privilege on a group repository can add a repository that the account cannot read or browse, and then read the content of that repository through the group. The anonymous user can only do this if an administrator has explicitly granted it that privilege. |

A user who holds only the capability creation permission (nexus:capabilities:create) can create this capability, which turns on header-based authentication for the instance. A remote client can then authenticate as an existing user, including an administrator, without credentials. |

| ZTNET is a ZeroTier web UI for private controllers with multiuser and organization support. Prior to 0.8.0, any authenticated low-privilege user can permanently deactivate another account, including an administrator, through `POST /api/auth/user/invalidateUser`. In `src/pages/api/auth/user/invalidateUser.ts`, `getServerSession` checks only that a session exists and does not compare `session.user.id` with the client-supplied `userId`. Supplying a victim's `userId` and a `deviceId` for which no matching pair exists in `UserDevice` makes the handler set the target account's `isActive` to false. Login is then refused by `src/server/auth.ts` with `account-expired`. An attacker needs only a normal authenticated account and the victim's user ID, which may be obtainable from member lists, UI responses, logs, or other application metadata. This can lock administrators out, disrupt organization management, and deny access to any targeted user. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.0. |
