CVSS v3.1 |
| An issue exists in Amazon Redshift JDBC Driver versions prior to 2.2.2. Under certain conditions, the driver could load and execute arbitrary classes when processing JDBC connection URL parameters. An actor who can influence the connection URL could potentially execute code in the application context, provided a suitable class is available on the application's classpath.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to version 2.2.2 or later. |
| Apache ActiveMQ Artemis before 2.34.0 contains an unsafe reflection vulnerability in FederationStreamConnectMessage.getFederationPolicy(). The method calls Class.forName(clazz).getConstructor().newInstance() where clazz is read directly from the CORE protocol wire buffer without type validation. An authenticated federation peer can send a FEDERATION_DOWNSTREAM_CONNECT packet with a crafted class name, causing the broker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes visible to the Artemis module classloader. Static initializers (<clinit>) and no-argument constructors (<init>()) execute as side effects before the type cast, enabling denial of service via system-property poisoning, out-of-memory conditions via classloading, or broker state manipulation. |
| A weakness has been identified in unslothai unsloth up to 0.1.501-beta. This affects the function FastSentenceTransformer._is_transformer_module_ref of the file unsloth/models/sentence_transformer.py. This manipulation of the argument Type causes use of externally-controlled input to select classes or code. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 0.1.902-beta is able to mitigate this issue. Patch name: de801746386a53a0cb26216e715a0af863b76ad9. The affected component should be upgraded. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in speaches-ai speaches up to 0.9.0-rc.3. This vulnerability affects the function PyannoteDiarizationModelManager._load_fn of the file src/speaches/executors/pyannote_diarization.py of the component Pyannote Diarization Model Loading. The manipulation of the argument model leads to use of externally-controlled input to select classes or code. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The feature was introduced in PR #628 (feat/switch to pyannote audio), merged as commit 870e1e16a73452496e99d49f759eabd692a8e0e0. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| Sonatype Nexus Repository 3 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to supply attacker-controlled input to a Java class loading call through an ExtDirect endpoint. This allows the attacker to learn whether specific classes are present in the application. The issue does not by itself allow code execution. |
| Apache Tomcat before 6.0.40, 7.x before 7.0.54, and 8.x before 8.0.6 does not properly constrain the class loader that accesses the XML parser used with an XSLT stylesheet, which allows remote attackers to (1) read arbitrary files via a crafted web application that provides an XML external entity declaration in conjunction with an entity reference, related to an XML External Entity (XXE) issue, or (2) read files associated with different web applications on a single Tomcat instance via a crafted web application. |
| Apache Commons BeanUtils, as distributed in lib/commons-beanutils-1.8.0.jar in Apache Struts 1.x through 1.3.10 and in other products requiring commons-beanutils through 1.9.2, does not suppress the class property, which allows remote attackers to "manipulate" the ClassLoader and execute arbitrary code via the class parameter, as demonstrated by the passing of this parameter to the getClass method of the ActionForm object in Struts 1. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.6, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by remote code execution via crafted markdown_extensions in techdocs mkdocs.yml. An authenticated user who can register catalog entities can provide a crafted mkdocs.yml causing arbitrary OS command execution on the TechDocs build host when the docs are built. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4. |
| — Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code vulnerability in Apache Jackrabbit's WebDAV/Davex client.
A malicious WebDAV/DavEx server, or an attacker able to intercept the connection, can cause the client to instantiate arbitrary classes from its classpath, which can lead to arbitrary file creation or truncation.
Only applications that use jackrabbit-spi2dav (directly or through jackrabbit-jcr2dav) to connect to a remote repository are affected. Jackrabbit servers are not affected.
Category: unsafe reflection on wire data (HIGH).
This issue affects Apache Jackrabbit: from 2.23.0 through 2.23.5, from 2.22.0 through 2.22.4, from 2.20.0 through 2.20.17.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 2.23.6, 2.22.5, or 2.20.18 which fix the issue. |
| A component loading mechanism in openPDC and openHistorian will construct and run any specified type, which may be an invalid component to load. An attacker with an authenticated user account and the ability to place a file on the host filesystem can use this to run arbitrary constructor code, and this code runs with the privileges of the affected service account. |
| Hydra is a framework for elegantly configuring complex applications. From 1.3.4 until 1.3.7 and 1.4.0.dev10, Hydra stores legacy instantiate target blocklists and related execution-policy collections in mutable module-level state. An attacker who controls multiple sibling target entries can resolve hydra._internal.target_policy.UNCONTROLLED_EXECUTION_TARGETS.discard through instantiate(), remove a denied target, and then invoke that target because sibling nodes are processed in insertion order against the same modified policy. The mutation persists in process-global state and can enable code execution with the application's privileges, while a narrow execution whitelist supplied by trusted Python code is not bypassed by the reported direct mutation path. This issue is fixed in versions 1.3.7 and 1.4.0.dev10. |
| Hydra is a framework for elegantly configuring complex applications. From 1.2.0 until 1.3.0 and 1.4.0.dev10, the hydra-optuna-sweeper package accepts a configuration-controlled dotted path in hydra.sweeper.custom_search_space, resolves it with hydra.utils.get_method(), and later invokes the returned callable in the Hydra controller process. Because get_method() is a trusted-input lookup helper and does not apply the execution policy used by instantiate(), an attacker who controls Optuna sweep configuration or command-line overrides can select importable Python code for execution with the application's privileges, including bypassing a trusted execution whitelist on affected Hydra 1.4 development releases. This issue is fixed in versions 1.3.0 and 1.4.0.dev10. |
| Hydra is a framework for elegantly configuring complex applications. Prior to 1.3.6 and 1.4.0.dev9, Hydra passes Python logging configuration to logging.config.dictConfig() without applying Hydra's target policy to handler class values or formatter, filter, handler, queue, and listener factories. An attacker who controls Hydra logging configuration can therefore select an importable class or factory and cause it to be invoked with the application's privileges, even in versions where instantiate() is protected because the logging path does not use instantiate(). This issue is fixed in versions 1.3.6 and 1.4.0.dev9. |
| Hydra is a framework for elegantly configuring complex applications. From 1.3.4 until 1.3.6 and 1.4.0.dev9, the instantiate() target blacklist introduced for CVE-2026-68508 incompletely checks the effective callable selected by the target field. Execution wrappers such as timeit.timeit, executable deserialization through pickle.loads, aliases, callable-returning helpers, generic dispatch, and deferred calls can obscure or defer the effective target and bypass name-based authorization. An attacker who causes an application to instantiate untrusted Hydra configuration can use these gaps to execute code with the application's privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 1.3.6 and 1.4.0.dev9. |
| Kiteworks Email Protection Gateway before version 9.5.0 is vulnerable to Unsafe Reflection and does not sufficiently restrict the code that the mail-processing pipeline could load from an imported rule configuration. An authenticated administrator with mail-rule configuration privileges could cause the gateway to load and execute code beyond the approved set of mail-processing components, potentially in the context of the mail-gateway service account. |
| IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to the improper use of reflection with externally controlled input. |
| YAML versions before 1.30 for Perl allow a loaded document to trigger the DESTROY method of arbitrary classes.
A perl/hash:Class tag blesses a hash into the class it names. The document supplies the object's fields, and Perl calls DESTROY when it goes out of scope.
What DESTROY does depends on the classes the process has loaded. With File::Temp::Dir from core Perl, it can delete a directory tree the document names. |
| Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, versions prior to 11.1.0.3, contains a Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Protection mechanism bypass. |
| Scrapy is a high-level web crawling and scraping framework for Python. From 1.4.0 until 2.14.2, RefererMiddleware in scrapy/spidermiddlewares/referer.py treated a Referrer-Policy response-header value that resembled a Python import path as a referrer policy class, imported the referenced object, and called it. A malicious website could supply a callable such as sys.exit and terminate a crawler processing the response. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.2. |
| Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') vulnerability in Unlimited Elements Unlimited Elements For Elementor (Free Widgets, Addons, Templates) unlimited-elements-for-elementor allows Parameter Injection. This issue affects Unlimited Elements For Elementor (Free Widgets, Addons, Templates): from n/a through 2.0.22. |
