| CVE-2024-45777 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 4 Grub2, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2026-11-05 | 6.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in grub2. The calculation of the translation buffer when reading a language .mo file in grub_gettext_getstr_from_position() may overflow, leading to a Out-of-bound write. This issue can be leveraged by an attacker to overwrite grub2's sensitive heap data, eventually leading to the circumvention of secure boot protections. | ||||
| CVE-2024-45782 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 5 Grub2, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in the HFS filesystem. When reading an HFS volume's name at grub_fs_mount(), the HFS filesystem driver performs a strcpy() using the user-provided volume name as input without properly validating the volume name's length. This issue may read to a heap-based out-of-bounds writer, impacting grub's sensitive data integrity and eventually leading to a secure boot protection bypass. | ||||
| CVE-2024-45780 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 4 Grub2, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2026-11-05 | 6.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in grub2. When reading tar files, grub2 allocates an internal buffer for the file name. However, it fails to properly verify the allocation against possible integer overflows. It's possible to cause the allocation length to overflow with a crafted tar file, leading to a heap out-of-bounds write. This flaw eventually allows an attacker to circumvent secure boot protections. | ||||
| CVE-2024-1048 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 4 Fedora, Grub2, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2026-11-05 | 3.3 Low |
| A flaw was found in the grub2-set-bootflag utility of grub2. After the fix of CVE-2019-14865, grub2-set-bootflag will create a temporary file with the new grubenv content and rename it to the original grubenv file. If the program is killed before the rename operation, the temporary file will not be removed and may fill the filesystem when invoked multiple times, resulting in a filesystem out of free inodes or blocks. | ||||
| CVE-2024-0567 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 2 more | 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gnutls and 7 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS, where a cockpit (which uses gnuTLS) rejects a certificate chain with distributed trust. This issue occurs when validating a certificate chain with cockpit-certificate-ensure. This flaw allows an unauthenticated, remote client or attacker to initiate a denial of service attack. | ||||
| CVE-2024-0553 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 7 Fedora, Gnutls, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS. The response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from the response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. This issue may allow a remote attacker to perform a timing side-channel attack in the RSA-PSK key exchange, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive data. CVE-2024-0553 is designated as an incomplete resolution for CVE-2023-5981. | ||||
| CVE-2023-5981 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more | 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gnutls and 6 more | 2026-11-05 | 5.9 Medium |
| A vulnerability was found that the response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. | ||||
| CVE-2026-96442 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 3 Emacs, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A code execution flaw was found in Emacs, affecting versions prior to 31.2. The Flymake mode using language backends other than Lisp would execute arbitrary code from the edited file while performing syntax checking. Viewing or editing untrusted files using Emacs could lead to arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running Emacs. | ||||
| CVE-2026-6846 | 3 Gnu, Iputils, Redhat | 8 Binutils, Iputils, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in binutils. A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability exists when processing a specially crafted XCOFF (Extended Common Object File Format) object file during linking. A local attacker could trick a user into processing this malicious file, which could lead to arbitrary code execution, allowing the attacker to run unauthorized commands, or cause a denial of service, making the system unavailable. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58384 | 3 Gimp, Gnu, Redhat | 6 Gimp, Gimp, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.3 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PSD parser. An integer overflow in read_RLE_channel() can cause an undersized heap allocation for the RLE row-length table, after which subsequent per-row writes corrupt heap memory. This could lead to memory corruption, potentially resulting in denial of service or arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42010 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 18 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 15 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.1 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. Servers configured with RSA-PSK (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman – Pre-Shared Key) wrongfully matched usernames containing a NUL character with truncated usernames. A remote attacker could exploit this by sending a specially crafted username, leading to an authentication bypass. This vulnerability allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access by circumventing the authentication process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42009 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 28 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 25 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit an issue in the Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) packet reordering logic. The comparator function, responsible for ordering DTLS packets by sequence numbers, did not correctly handle packets with duplicate sequence numbers. This could lead to unstable packet ordering or undefined behavior, resulting in a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33846 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 18 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 15 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.5 High |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the DTLS handshake fragment reassembly logic of GnuTLS. The issue arises in merge_handshake_packet() where incoming handshake fragments are matched and merged based solely on handshake type, without validating that the message_length field remains consistent across all fragments of the same logical message. An attacker can exploit this by sending crafted DTLS fragments with conflicting message_length values, causing the implementation to allocate a buffer based on a smaller initial fragment and subsequently write beyond its bounds using larger, inconsistent fragments. Because the merge operation does not enforce proper bounds checking against the allocated buffer size, this results in an out-of-bounds write on the heap. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable without authentication via the DTLS handshake path and can lead to application crashes or potential memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33845 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 18 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 15 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw in GnuTLS DTLS handshake parsing allows malformed fragments with zero length and non-zero offset, leading to an integer underflow during reassembly and resulting in an out-of-bounds read. This issue is remotely exploitable and may cause information disclosure or denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1584 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 6 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 3 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted ClientHello message with an invalid Pre-Shared Key (PSK) binder value during the TLS handshake. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference, causing the server to crash and resulting in a remote Denial of Service (DoS) condition. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2961 | 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 29 Debian Linux, Glibc, Active Iq Unified Manager and 26 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.3 High |
| The iconv() function in the GNU C Library versions 2.39 and older may overflow the output buffer passed to it by up to 4 bytes when converting strings to the ISO-2022-CN-EXT character set, which may be used to crash an application or overwrite a neighbouring variable. | ||||
| CVE-2026-95210 | 1 Gnu | 1 Gnutls | 2026-11-04 | 4.8 Medium |
| GnuTLS v3.8.13 does not reject a critical keyUsage extension when it cannot be processed, such as when extnValue is an ASN.1 NULL (05 00) instead of a BIT STRING. NOTE: the Supplier does not consider this an actionable security vulnerability because of its "threat model doesn't consider attacks only possible by modifying anything within the trust boundary (private keys, trusted certificate authorities and their issued certificates including intermediate CAs, etc.)" policy. | ||||
| CVE-2026-95209 | 1 Gnu | 1 Gnutls | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| ** REJECT ** DO NOT USE THIS CANDIDATE NUMBER. ConsultIDs: none. Reason: This candidate was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: none. | ||||
| CVE-2026-95184 | 1 Gnu | 1 Gnutls | 2026-11-04 | 5.9 Medium |
| GnuTLS v3.8.13 does not properly enforce name constraints, as demonstrated by a permitted subtree violation for "EE O=Evil accepted although outside permitted O=Good." NOTE: the Supplier does not consider this an actionable security vulnerability because of its "threat model doesn't consider attacks only possible by modifying anything within the trust boundary (private keys, trusted certificate authorities and their issued certificates including intermediate CAs, etc.)" policy. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88648 | 1 Gnu | 1 Gnutls | 2026-11-04 | 3.7 Low |
| In GnuTLS v3.8.13, an excluded msUPN/SRV otherName is never checked. NOTE: the Supplier does not consider this an actionable security vulnerability because of its "threat model doesn't consider attacks only possible by modifying anything within the trust boundary (private keys, trusted certificate authorities and their issued certificates including intermediate CAs, etc.)" policy. | ||||
