CVSS v3.1 |
| Out-of-bounds write in Microsoft Windows PDF allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdkfd: fix a vulnerability of integer overflow in kfd debugger
get_queue_ids() computes array_size = num_queues * sizeof(uint32_t),
which could overflow on 32-bit size_t build. using array_size()
instead, it saturates to SIZE_MAX on overflow.

| Memory corruption vulnerabilities in the affected interface of AOS-10 could lead to remote code execution by an unauthenticated adjacent attacker. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system. |
| V-SFT provided by FUJI ELECTRIC CO., LTD. contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability. Opening a crafted V7 file may lead to information exposure or arbitrary code execution on the affected product. |
| A vulnerability was detected in libimobiledevice up to 1.4.0. The affected element is the function webinspector_receive_with_timeout of the file src/webinspector.c of the component Web Inspector. The manipulation results in heap-based buffer overflow. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in libimobiledevice up to 1.4.0. This vulnerability affects the function afc_get_device_info_key of the file src/afc.c of the component Device Info Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument Value results in memory corruption. The attack requires a local approach. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A weakness has been identified in ggml-org llama.cpp. Affected by this issue is the function list_pockettts_state_slots of the file tools/mtmd/models/pockettts-gen.cpp of the component Pocket-TTS. This manipulation of the argument mmproj causes out-of-bounds write. The attack requires local access. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version b11796 can resolve this issue. Patch name: 0a1ef309cdbb9f2024f58a38fb4c42352c5db569. The affected component should be upgraded. The reported heap out‑of‑bounds write (gen‑audio / pocket‑tts state_out path) is no longer a silent exploitable heap write on current master and the latest release b11871 - a malicious mmproj that previously triggered it now trips a release‑active GGML_ASSERT and aborts. But the submitter's recommended by‑construction fix (PR #29360 "prevent OOB accesses from malformed mmproj files") is still open. So the root cause is detected‑and‑aborted, not prevented‑by‑design. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-integrity: fix buffer overflow in inline mode with large tag size
In inline mode, dm_integrity_check and dm_integrity_inline_recheck
compute the checksum of each block into an on-stack buffer of
HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE bytes. integrity_sector_checksum pads its result
with zeroes up to the tag size, so if the tag size is larger than
HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE, the padding runs past the end of the buffer. With
CONFIG_STACKPROTECTOR the kernel panics in dm_integrity_check on the
first read.
Enlarge both buffers to hold MAX_TAG_SIZE bytes, as commit b93b6643e9b5
("dm integrity: fix a crash with unusually large tag size") did for
integrity_metadata.
Note that this is not a security bug because the buffer overflow can only
be triggered by root. |
| AdPlug through 2.4 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in CksmPlayer::update() in src/ksm.cpp that writes past the fixed databuf[2048] array without bounds checking. Attackers can supply a crafted .ksm module whose notes share one time slot to overflow the heap player object, causing memory corruption and denial of service. |
| libTiMidity through 0.2.8 contains a stack out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the SoundFont loader that allows attackers to corrupt stack memory via unchecked generator operators in parse_gen. Attackers can supply a crafted .sf2 file with out-of-range pgen/igen operator values to write chosen 16-bit values near the stack Layer object, causing crashes and stack memory corruption. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows Schannel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read and write in the Count-Min sketch deserialization of Apache DataSketches C++ (repo: datasketches-cpp).
count_min_sketch::deserialize() did not include the preamble in its input size check, so a truncated sketch could cause a read of up to 16 bytes past the end of the input. In addition, the table size was computed from the serialized number of buckets and number of hash functions in 32-bit arithmetic. A crafted sketch could make it wrap to zero, so that the sketch deserialized with an empty table, and later updates and estimate queries read and wrote outside the heap allocation. This can corrupt heap memory, causing a crash and potentially enabling further exploitation.
This issue affects Apache DataSketches C++: from 4.1.0 before 5.3.0. Only applications that deserialize Count-Min sketches from untrusted sources are affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.3.0, which fixes this issue. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows GDI allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: seq: oss: Reject reads that cannot fit the next event
snd_seq_oss_read() checks whether the next queued OSS sequencer event
fits in the remaining userspace buffer before removing it from the read
queue.
The check is inverted. It currently stops when the event is smaller than
the remaining buffer, so a normal 4-byte event is not copied for an
8-byte read buffer. Conversely, an 8-byte event can be copied for a
smaller read count.
Break only when the remaining userspace buffer is smaller than the next
event, and report -EINVAL if no complete event has been copied. This
prevents an undersized read from looking like end-of-file while leaving
the event queued for a later read with a large enough buffer. |
| Out-of-bounds write in .NET allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 15.8.5 and iPadOS 15.8.5, iOS 16.7.12 and iPadOS 16.7.12, iOS 18.6.2 and iPadOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 17.7.10, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, macOS Sonoma 14.7.8, macOS Ventura 13.7.8. Processing a malicious image file may result in memory corruption. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows EAPHost Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drop_monitor: fix out-of-bounds write in reset_per_cpu_data()
In reset_per_cpu_data(), al is computed as:
al = sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg);
al += dm_hit_limit * sizeof(struct net_dm_drop_point);
al += sizeof(struct nlattr);
skb = genlmsg_new(al, GFP_KERNEL);
...
nla = nla_reserve(skb, NLA_UNSPEC, sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg));
...
msg = nla_data(nla);
memset(msg, 0, al);
Because al includes sizeof(struct nlattr) (the 4-byte attribute header),
genlmsg_new() allocates al bytes of tailroom starting at nla.
However, msg points to nla_data(nla), which is located
sizeof(struct nlattr) bytes past nla. Calling memset(msg, 0, al)
therefore writes al bytes starting from msg, exceeding the allocated
buffer by sizeof(struct nlattr) (4 bytes) and corrupting
skb_shared_info.
Fix this by letting al represent only the payload length, allocating
the skb with genlmsg_new(nla_total_size(al), GFP_KERNEL), and zeroing
al bytes from msg. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-pcache: bound the logical key offset from persistent memory
cache_key_decode() takes a key's logical off from the cache device and
later indexes req_key_tree->subtrees[] by it in get_subtree(). An off
past the device forms a subtree pointer outside the array, which
rb_insert() writes through during replay.
Reject a key of zero length, or whose off+len (computed in 64 bits)
exceeds the device size, before it is used. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: do not let ipv6_find_hdr() return an offset past the packet end
ipv6_find_hdr() walks the extension header chain, skipping each header by
the length that header itself declares. ipv6_optlen() returns up to 2048,
and the skip is never checked against skb->len, so the offset stored in
*offset can point past the end of the packet.
openvswitch installs that offset as the transport header, and
update_ipv6_checksum() then reads and writes the transport checksum field
out of bounds:

Other callers use that offset too, so bound it here rather than in one
caller.
Reject a header whose declared length does not fit in the packet.
ipv6_find_hdr() already fails with -EBADMSG on a malformed chain, so this
adds no new failure mode. |
