CVSS v3.1 |
| A malicious or compromised Flatpak repository can write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations on the host filesystem via extract_extra_data(). On system installs, the write happens as root. Two issues combine: `files/extra` is resolved via path operations that follow symlinks, and blob names from `xa.extra-data-sources` are not sanitized against `..` traversal. |
| A path handling issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to break out of its sandbox. |
| A parsing issue in the handling of directory paths was addressed with improved path validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to modify protected parts of the file system. |
| A weakness has been identified in Aklivity Zilla up to 1.3.4/2.4.7/2.5.0-rc2. The affected element is the function Path.resolve of the file FileSystemServerFactory of the component http-filesystem Binding. This manipulation of the argument params causes path traversal. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 2.5.0-rc3 is sufficient to fix this issue. Patch name: 46a8b15cbea157f7ae8b7cb865809a02fd6b1988. You should upgrade the affected component. |
| gopass before 1.17.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the filesystem storage backend that allows attackers to delete directories outside the password store via ../ entry names in Prune and IsDir. Collaborators with write access to a shared git-synced store can introduce crafted entries, causing a victim's recursive gopass rm -r to delete arbitrary directory trees. |
| Ultralytics Google Drive Download Path Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Ultralytics. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of downloads from Google Drive. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-32376. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in HAVELSAN Inc. Liman MYS allows Path Traversal.
This issue affects Liman MYS: before 2.3.5-1132. |
| A flaw was found in GNU patch. An attacker can achieve arbitrary file creation outside the intended working directory by enticing a user or automated workflow to apply a specially crafted patch file. Due to missing validation during automatic patch reversal, absolute file paths in patch headers are accepted rather than rejected. Consequently, the utility can create files in arbitrary locations with the permissions of the executing user. |
| A weakness has been identified in Oray Pugongying X5 Pro up to 7.6.1. Affected by this vulnerability is the function config_restore_ex of the file /etc/openwrt_release. This manipulation of the argument filename causes relative path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| FFmpeg 5.0 through 9.0.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the IMF demuxer that allows attackers to open files outside the package via unvalidated ASSETMAP Path elements. Attackers can supply a crafted IMF package with '..' or absolute paths to demux local MXF files, probe file existence and size, or trigger server-side requests. |
| Leon before commit 50df142 contains a path traversal vulnerability in getModelFileNameFromURL() that allows attackers to write files outside the models directory via percent-encoded separators. Attackers can trick a user into running '/download model' with a crafted URL containing encoded '../' sequences to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary paths writable by Leon. |
| Incus 7.0.0 before 7.0.2 and 7.1.0 before 7.5.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows clients able to create instances to write files on the host. The flaw stems from unvalidated dependent custom volume names in instance backup index.yaml files. Attackers can import a crafted instance backup with ../ sequences in dependent volume names to create root-owned directories with controlled content, leading to full host compromise. |
| The Acadlix LMS – AI Quiz Maker, Online Exam & Course Plugin for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the post_delete_assessment_file_by_id function in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The route's permission callback only verifies a generic wp_rest nonce that the plugin itself emits inside the public acadlixOptions JavaScript object on every frontend page, effectively reducing the authentication requirement to unauthenticated. |
| JeeWMS before commit 0a610e8 contains an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability that allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the dbPath parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /systemController/showOrDownByurl.do with ../ sequences in dbPath, which bypasses AuthInterceptor, to retrieve files like win.ini. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-17. |
| A malicious SCP server can send unexpected paths that could make the
client application override local files outside of working directory.
This could be misused to create malicious executable or configuration
files and make the user execute them under specific consequences.
This is the same issue as in OpenSSH, tracked as CVE-2019-6111. |
| A flaw was found in flatpak-builder. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause information disclosure by convincing a user or continuous integration (CI) system to process a crafted build manifest. By specifying local file Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) within source download definitions, the builder bypasses directory confinement checks. As a result, sensitive host files accessible to the build process can be read and incorporated into the build artifacts. |
| Path traversal and missing authorization check in the imageCrop and imageRotate services in Apache OFBiz through 24.09.07 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker with only Catalog view permission to read arbitrary image-parseable files readable by the OFBiz process, disclosed via re-encoded and republished product content, and to write a re-encoded image to an arbitrary directory writable by the OFBiz process via crafted productId and imageName parameters. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |
| Path traversal and missing authorization check in the replaceImageToExistImage service in Apache OFBiz through 24.09.07 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker with only Catalog view permission to overwrite arbitrary files writable by the OFBiz process with JPEG-encoded content via crafted productId, dataResourceNameExist, and dataResourceNameReplace parameters. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |
| A path handling issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to bypass Gatekeeper checks. |
