CVE-2026-71852 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-11-02 3.3 Low
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, a crafted PDF can cause long runtimes and large memory consumption when pypdf/_font.py function Font._collect_cid_character_widths expands unusually large CID font /W width ranges or excessive width entries during text extraction. This issue is fixed in 6.15.0.
CVE-2026-41313 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-11-02 6.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. An attacker who uses a vulnerability present in versions prior to 6.10.2 can craft a PDF which leads to long runtimes. This requires loading a PDF with a large trailer `/Size` value in incremental mode. This has been fixed in pypdf 6.10.2. As a workaround, one may apply the changes from the patch manually.
CVE-2026-27628 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-11-02 7.5 High
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.7.2, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires reading the file. This has been fixed in pypdf 6.7.2. As a workaround, one may apply the patch manually.
CVE-2026-99202 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-11-02 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libsas: Fix SMP IO deadlock during HA resume smp_execute_task_sg() calls pm_runtime_get_sync() on the host before issuing an SMP command. When that command is itself issued from the HA resume path, the get_sync() deadlocks: it waits for the ongoing resume (the device is RPM_RESUMING), while the resume is blocked in sas_drain_work() waiting for that same SMP IO to complete. The deadlock needs an expander-attached SATA disk. During sas_resume_ha() -> sas_drain_work(), DISCE_RESUME -> sas_resume_sata() -> ata_sas_port_resume() requests ATA_EH_RESET, and the hard reset for such a disk is done via SMP PHY CONTROL (sas_ata_hard_reset() -> sas_phy_reset() -> sas_smp_phy_control() -> smp_execute_task_sg()). Direct-attached SATA resets through lldd_control_phy() and SSP devices use TMFs, so neither hits this. Replace the get_sync()/put_sync() pair with pm_runtime_get_noresume()/pm_runtime_put(). smp_execute_task_sg() only needs to hold off autosuspend while the SMP is in flight, and it must not try to resume the host: a sync resume issued from the HA resume path itself is what deadlocks, and by the time sas_resume_ha() runs, hw_init has already reinitialized the hardware, so the device is accessible without one. The usage reference is still required. Discovery work normally runs inside an event worker's PM reference, taken at sas_notify_port_event() notify time and held until the handler has flushed the disco queue. sas_rediscover_ex_phy() however requeues DISCE_REVALIDATE_DOMAIN from within the revalidation worker itself, and flush_workqueue() does not wait for work items queued during execution, so that chained revalidation runs with no outer PM reference - without the get_noresume(), its SMP could race autosuspend. For the BSG path, sas_smp_handler() is the only caller which may find the host autosuspended: expander SMP requests do not go through any SCSI device request queue, so nothing else in that path holds the host awake. Resume it there with pm_runtime_resume_and_get() and check the result.
CVE-2026-114650 1 Mongodb 2 C# Driver, Mongodb.libmongocrypt Nuget Package 2026-11-02 5.9 Medium
A flaw in the client-side encryption support of the MongoDB .NET/C# driver can cause data designated for client-side field-level encryption to be written without encryption. Under certain platform text-encoding configurations, an internal name conversion loses information, so the encryption layer fails to associate the operation with its configured encryption rules and the operation proceeds without an error being raised. An application user with the ability to write data through an affected application can therefore have sensitive fields persisted in plaintext, defeating the confidentiality guarantee that client-side encryption is intended to provide. No integrity or availability impact was observed.
CVE-2026-71227 2 Redhat, Smuellerdd 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Hardened Images and 5 more 2026-11-02 5.1 Medium
A flaw was found in libkcapi. A local attacker can influence an application that uses the Asynchronous Input/Output (AIO) interface. By reusing an AIO-enabled handle after a prior completion error, the _kcapi_aio_read_all() function can enter a non-terminating wait loop. This can lead to a persistent denial of service, making the affected application or thread unresponsive.
CVE-2026-116581 1 Lxsmnsyc 1 Seroval 2026-10-31 7.5 High
Seroval facilitates JavaScript value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.6.8, fromJSON and fromCrossJSON do not validate a sequence node's done index. A crafted done index can create an iterator that never finishes when application code consumes it to completion. An unauthenticated request to a service that deserializes untrusted input can therefore block the event loop, exhaust process memory, or make the service unavailable. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.8.
CVE-2026-112353 1 Gfi 1 Kerio Connect 2026-10-30 8.2 High
GFI KerioConnect (Kerio Connect) before 10.0.8 Patch 2 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Webmail component that allows a remote attacker to run JavaScript in a victim's authenticated Webmail session by uploading a crafted SVG email attachment that bypasses sanitization of event-handler attributes. Attackers can exploit the temporary-download endpoint's insufficient Content-Security-Policy sandbox to execute scripts when the attachment is opened, enabling theft of the victim's credentials and mailbox contents. Proofpoint Threat Research has observed exploitation in the wild as a credential and mailbox stealer.
CVE-2026-62250 1 Libredwg 1 Libredwg 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
LibreDWG is a free C library to read and write DWG files. Prior to 0.14.8413, a crafted pre-R13 DWG can make `decode_preR13_entities()` in `src/decode.c` enter a nonterminating loop that allocates a new object each iteration. `decode_preR13` in `src/decode_r11.c` computes `size` from the raw file-controlled `entities_start` and `entities_end` header bounds; the callee clamps `end` to `dat->size` but never recalculates `size`. At `end` of input, `bit_read_RC` and `bit_read_RS` stop advancing `dat->byte`, the overflow guard fails because `end` equals `dat->size`, and the no-advance check compares against `oldpos` saved before the loop instead of the previous iteration. This leaves repeated allocation of `dwg->object` entries until allocation fails or the process is OOM-killed, not merely a constant-memory CPU hang. The defect remains after the clamping and no-progress changes associated with the earlier issue 1131. Applications and tools calling `dwg_read_file()` on untrusted files, including `dwg2dxf`, `dwgread` and `dwg2svg`, can suffer denial of service when a user or automated pipeline opens a malformed file; no attacker credentials are required. This issue is fixed in repository nightly version 0.14.8413.
CVE-2026-63968 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: fix possible infinite loop in fib6_select_path() Found while auditing the same pattern Sashiko reported in rt6_fill_node() [1]. Apply the same fix as commit f8d8ce1b515a ("ipv6: fix possible infinite loop in fib6_info_uses_dev()"). Writers holding tb6_lock can list_del_rcu(&first->fib6_siblings) without waiting for RCU readers; first->fib6_siblings.next then still points into the old ring and this softirq-side walker never reaches &first->fib6_siblings as its terminator. fib6_purge_rt() always WRITE_ONCE()s first->fib6_nsiblings to 0 before list_del_rcu(), so an inside-loop check is a reliable detach signal. CVE-2026-118781 1 Digitalbazaar 1 Forge 2026-10-30 2.9 Low
Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used BigInteger.prototype.modInverse(), bnModInverse(), lib/jsbn.js, RSA public exponent e to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge's bundled jsbn implementation entered an infinite loop when BigInteger.prototype.modInverse() received a negative value or modulus. An attacker who could control the RSA public exponent passed to key generation, or a direct modInverse() operand, could block the Node.js event loop at full CPU. Parsed DER, PEM, JWK, PKCS#12, X.509, and TLS values are unsigned and cannot trigger this issue. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.
CVE-2026-96642 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-30 6.5 Medium
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, the TarIO initializer in src/PIL/TarIO.py accepts a negative octal member size and computes a backward seek that returns to the same 512-byte header. When the requested member name does not match, the parser repeatedly reads that header, consumes a full CPU core, and never returns. TarIO is reached only when an application directly uses PIL.TarIO.TarIO rather than the default Image.open() path. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-115911 2 Vllm, Vllm-project 2 Vllm, Vllm 2026-10-30 6.5 Medium
vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. From 0.19.0 until 0.32.0, authenticated callers can supply a request chat template when no server-side --chat-template is configured, or a malicious model repository can provide a template that is compiled and rendered by tokenizer.apply_chat_template() without a wall-clock timeout, output-size limit, or iteration bound. Rendering runs in a ThreadPoolExecutor with one worker by default, so a nonterminating render can block /v1/responses and other chat-template users after the request ends, while an output-expanding render can exhaust server memory. Harmony models are not affected because they do not use this Jinja path. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0.
CVE-2026-63908 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: atmel_mxt_ts - fix boundary check in mxt_prepare_cfg_mem When a configuration file provides an object size that is larger than the driver's known mxt_obj_size(object), the driver intends to discard the extra bytes. The loop iterates using for (i = 0; i < size; i++). Inside the loop, the condition to skip processing extra bytes is: if (i > mxt_obj_size(object)) continue; Since i is a 0-based index, the valid indices for the object are 0 through mxt_obj_size(object) - 1. When i == mxt_obj_size(object), the condition evaluates to false, and the code processes the byte instead of discarding it. This causes the code to calculate byte_offset = reg + i - cfg->start_ofs and writes the byte there, overwriting exactly one byte of the adjacent instance or object. Update the boundary check to skip extra bytes correctly by using >=.
CVE-2026-99135 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: fix infinite loop on discard with large tag size When integrity_metadata handles a discard, it fills a buffer with DISCARD_FILLER and writes it over the tags, max_blocks blocks at a time. If the kmalloc fails, the buffer is the on-stack array checksums_onstack and max_size is set to HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE. So if the tag size is larger than HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE, max_blocks is zero, bi_size is never decremented and the loop never terminates. Fix this by using sizeof(checksums_onstack) as max_size. The array has MAX_TAG_SIZE bytes since commit b93b6643e9b5 ("dm integrity: fix a crash with unusually large tag size"), so max_blocks is at least 1.
CVE-2026-99132 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: don't hold buffer locks across sync transaction commit in xfs_sync_sb_buf xfs_sync_sb_buf() holds sb/rtsb buffer locks across a synchronous xfs_trans_commit(), which flushes the CIL push workqueue internally. If shutdown occurs during the CIL push, xfs_buf_item_unpin() needs to lock these buffers to fail them, causing a deadlock: setlabel: holds buf lock -> flush_workqueue(xfs-cil) CIL push worker: xfs_buf_item_unpin -> xfs_buf_lock(same buf) Remove the xfs_trans_bhold() calls so that commit releases the buffer locks normally. After the sync commit, re-acquire the buffers via mp->m_sb_bp / mp->m_rtsb_bp for the on-disk writeback.
CVE-2026-99130 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cancel: don't spin on local work the task can't run io_uring_cancel_generic() refuses to sleep while any ring on the exiting task's tctx has local work pending. It assumes the task is that ring's submitter and that the next io_uring_try_cancel_requests() pass will run the work. This does not hold for a ring that was still IORING_SETUP_R_DISABLED when the task got its tctx node from io_uring_create() or io_ringfd_register(). The submitter is set later by IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS, possibly from another task, and only the submitter may run local work on an IORING_SETUP_DEFER_TASKRUN ring. To the exiting task the work stays pending forever, the loop never reaches schedule(), and the task trips the WARN_ON_ONCE() once and then spins in do_exit(). An unprivileged user can set this up at will by creating a disabled ring, having a child enable it and stop, posting to the ring with IORING_OP_MSG_RING and exiting with a request in flight that only the child can complete. The exiting thread burns a CPU until the child runs or dies, and with panic_on_warn set the WARN panics the kernel. Fix by skipping the sleep only when io_allowed_defer_tw_run() allows the task to run the work. This is reasonable since work it cannot run cannot complete any of its requests either, so nothing is lost by sleeping. Drop the WARN_ON_ONCE() since handing a disabled ring to another thread is a supported scenario, not a bug state.
CVE-2026-99128 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.9 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate chunk length in the inqueue parser SCTP chunks always include a four-byte generic header, but sctp_inq_pop() currently accepts shorter declared lengths. A zero-length chunk leaves chunk_end at the current header. When ASCONF is covered by the association's SCTP-AUTH policy, sctp_assoc_bh_rcv() can continue before the state machine performs its normal chunk-length check. sctp_inq_pop() then returns the same malformed chunk repeatedly and the receive softirq can lock up. A remote SCTP peer can trigger this after establishing an association on a kernel built with CONFIG_IP_SCTP and configured with net.sctp.addip_enable=1 and net.sctp.auth_enable=1. The reproducer did not require application credentials, a shared SCTP AUTH key, or net.sctp.addip_noauth_enable=1. On commit f967455fb2a5 ("seg6: reset IP6CB after IPv6 decapsulation"), one zero-length ASCONF caused repeated watchdog soft-lockup reports in a two-vCPU KVM guest. All 3 pre-trigger health probes succeeded, while 36 of 37 post-trigger probes failed. With this change, all 37 post-trigger probes succeeded and no equivalent soft-lockup signature appeared. Reject chunks shorter than the generic SCTP header at the shared inqueue parser boundary. Mark the packet for discard before either caller can continue processing it, while preserving the four-byte generic minimum. Declared-length 1 through 4 controls and kernel-generated ASCONF traffic remained healthy. The patched sctp_hello selftest passed for IPv4 and IPv6. The complete private reproducer and validation evidence are available directly to maintainers on request.
CVE-2026-99025 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: fix soft lockup in the netlink flow dump A production compute node carrying a few thousand datapath flows hit a soft lockup inside a single netlink flow dump and panicked. ovs_flow_cmd_dump() calls ovs_flow_stats_get() for every flow it emits, and that releases stats->lock with spin_unlock_bh() once per CPU that has touched the flow. Every release is a local_bh_enable(), and each one runs the pending softirq backlog in the dumping thread's own context. The skb bounds the flows one callback emits, but not the softirq work it absorbs. On a CPU that carries the box's packet load the backlog refills as fast as it drains, so the dumping thread becomes that CPU's softirq engine. It never sleeps and it has no reschedule point, so under voluntary preemption nothing can take the CPU away from it: neither the ksoftirqd the kernel woke to take the work over, nor the stopper thread the softlockup detector dispatches to refresh its timestamp. Hold BH off across the whole callback instead, the way ctnetlink_dump_table() does, so the nested spin_unlock_bh() stop draining softirqs. The loop already runs under rcu_read_lock() and cannot sleep. What it gives up is preemption under CONFIG_PREEMPT, since a BH-off region is not preemptible outside PREEMPT_RT. The region stays short: the skb caps the flows one callback emits, and empty buckets cost no skb space but are each visited once per dump, as the cursor only moves forward. The table grows on insert and shrinks only on flush, so the walk is bounded by the largest flow count the datapath has held. The softirq backlog the callback used to absorb has no bound at all.
CVE-2026-99009 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: connect the session socket without rfcomm_mutex An RFCOMM connect() issued while a BR/EDR link is being authenticated makes lockdep report a circular dependency, and the reported cycle is a real AB/BA between rfcomm_mutex and hdev->lock. rfcomm_security_cfm() is called from the HCI event path, which already holds hdev->lock: hci_rx_work() hci_event_packet() hci_cc_read_enc_key_size() [hdev->lock] hci_encrypt_cfm() [hci_cb_list_lock] rfcomm_security_cfm() [rfcomm_mutex] while an RFCOMM connect() from userspace takes the same two locks the other way round: rfcomm_sock_connect() rfcomm_dlc_open() [rfcomm_mutex] __rfcomm_dlc_open() rfcomm_session_create() kernel_connect() l2cap_sock_connect() l2cap_chan_connect() [hdev->lock] WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected kworker/u131:1/1128 is trying to acquire lock: rfcomm_mutex, at: rfcomm_security_cfm+0x31/0x3e0 [rfcomm] but task is already holding lock: hci_cb_list_lock, at: hci_cc_read_enc_key_size+0x1d2/0xcc0 Chain exists of: rfcomm_mutex --> &hdev->lock --> hci_cb_list_lock hci_auth_complete_evt() and hci_encrypt_change_evt() reach the callback the same way. Both orders have to be seen in the same boot, which is why a BR/EDR connection alone is not enough to show it: a session set up by the remote side is created by rfcomm_accept_connection() in krfcommd, which calls kernel_accept() and never takes hdev->lock under rfcomm_mutex. Connecting a device that authenticates and encrypts the link and then calling connect() on an RFCOMM socket towards any address - the connect does not have to succeed, the order is recorded before the page timeout - reports it every time. Only the session socket has to be connected with the lock held, and it does not: nothing else can see the socket before it is put on the session list. So connect it first and take rfcomm_mutex afterwards, which removes the rfcomm_mutex -> hdev->lock order for good, rather than keeping the HCI event path out of rfcomm_mutex. rfcomm_session_create() becomes rfcomm_session_connect(), which returns the connected socket without touching the session list, and rfcomm_dlc_open() adds the session once it holds the lock again. If another opener added a session for the same pair while this socket was connecting, that session is used and this socket is dropped. __rfcomm_dlc_open() now takes the session it should use, and its state check runs after the lock is re-acquired, so a DLC that was opened or closed in the meantime is still handled. Over an existing ACL link the connection can complete before the session reaches the list, and the wakeup from the socket callback is then lost, so krfcommd is woken once the session is visible. Connecting without the lock opens a window in which the socket can be closed. The DLC is not on a session yet, so rfcomm_dlc_close() finds nothing to do and returns without touching it, and rfcomm_dlc_open() would then attach a DLC whose owner is gone. rfcomm_dlc_close() now marks such a DLC with RFCOMM_CLOSED, and rfcomm_dlc_open() checks the mark once it holds rfcomm_mutex again and drops the socket instead of attaching the DLC. The mark is cleared when an open starts, so a DLC that is reused is not affected. This covers both callers of rfcomm_dlc_open(), the socket and the tty layer.
