CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: block range must be validated before use in ext4_mb_clear_bb()
Block range to free is validated in ext4_free_blocks() using
ext4_inode_block_valid() and then it's passed to ext4_mb_clear_bb().
However in some situations on bigalloc file system the range might be
adjusted after the validation in ext4_free_blocks() which can lead to
troubles on corrupted file systems such as one found by syzkaller that
resulted in the following BUG

Fix it by making sure that the block range is properly validated before
used every time it changes in ext4_free_blocks() or ext4_mb_clear_bb(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drbd: use after free in drbd_create_device()
The drbd_destroy_connection() frees the "connection" so use the _safe()
iterator to prevent a use after free. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
kprobes: Skip clearing aggrprobe's post_handler in kprobe-on-ftrace case
In __unregister_kprobe_top(), if the currently unregistered probe has
post_handler but other child probes of the aggrprobe do not have
post_handler, the post_handler of the aggrprobe is cleared. If this is
a ftrace-based probe, there is a problem. In later calls to
disarm_kprobe(), we will use kprobe_ftrace_ops because post_handler is
NULL. But we're armed with kprobe_ipmodify_ops. This triggers a WARN in
__disarm_kprobe_ftrace() and may even cause use-after-free:
Failed to disarm kprobe-ftrace at kernel_clone+0x0/0x3c0 (error -2)

For the kprobe-on-ftrace case, we keep the post_handler setting to
identify this aggrprobe armed with kprobe_ipmodify_ops. This way we
can disarm it correctly. |

In __mptcp_alloc_tx_skb skb was allocated and skb->tcp_tsorted_anchor will
be initialized, in under memory pressure situation sk_wmem_schedule will
return false and then kfree_skb. In this case skb->_skb_refdst is not null
because_skb_refdst and tcp_tsorted_anchor are stored in the same mem, and
kfree_skb will try to release dst and cause crash. |
| Sandbox escape due to use-after-free in the Widget component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6. |
| Use-after-free in the JavaScript Engine: JIT component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159 and Thunderbird 159. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.2 has a use-after-free in the client's rdpgfx dynamic virtual channel: a duplicate-name channel with a new ChannelId overwrites the listener's single callback slot, which rdpgfx_on_close frees without clearing. A malicious RDP server can open and close such a channel, then send a PDU on the original channel to crash the client or potentially execute code. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.2 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in Emulate_SCardReleaseContext that frees the emulated SCardContext before its worker thread is cancelled and joined. A malicious server can send ESTABLISHCONTEXT, a long-timeout GETSTATUSCHANGE, then RELEASECONTEXT smartcard IRPs to corrupt heap memory or crash clients using smartcard emulation. |
| Sandbox escape due to invalid pointer in the Graphics: WebRender component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6. |
