CVE-2026-99256 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-11-05 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm cache: fix issue with background work locking dm cache used a rw_semaphore for background_work_lock. Write locks on rw_semaphores have strict owner semantics, but there was no guarantee that the process that locked background_work_lock was the same process that unlocked it. This can be easily seen using a kernel compiled with CONFIG_DEBUG_RWSEMS. Given a dm cache device <cache>, run: 'dmsetup suspend <cache> && dmsetup resume <cache>'. This will trigger a kernel warning: DEBUG_RWSEMS_WARN_ON((rwsem_owner(sem) != current) && !rwsem_test_oflags(sem, RWSEM_NONSPINNABLE)) triggered by cache_resume(). To fix this, switch from a rw_semaphore to a spinlock and a wait queue. dm cache already has a wait queue and associated counter, migration_wait and nr_allocated_migrations, that was getting woken up when background work was getting completed, but wasn't actually used by anything. This is replaced by the background_work queue and counter.
CVE-2026-112517 1 Apple 7 Ios And Ipados, Ipados, Iphone Os and 4 more 2026-11-05 7.7 High
A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory.
CVE-2026-121257 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-11-05 9.6 Critical
Use after free in TabStrip in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted Chrome extension. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2025-11234 1 Redhat 8 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Aus and 5 more 2026-11-05 7.5 High
A flaw was found in QEMU. If the QIOChannelWebsock object is freed while it is waiting to complete a handshake, a GSource is leaked. This can lead to the callback firing later on and triggering a use-after-free in the use of the channel. This can be abused by a malicious client with network access to the VNC WebSocket port to cause a denial of service during the WebSocket handshake prior to the VNC client authentication.
CVE-2025-0622 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Els 2026-11-05 6.4 Medium
A flaw was found in command/gpg. In some scenarios, hooks created by loaded modules are not removed when the related module is unloaded. This flaw allows an attacker to force grub2 to call the hooks once the module that registered it was unloaded, leading to a use-after-free vulnerability. If correctly exploited, this vulnerability may result in arbitrary code execution, eventually allowing the attacker to bypass secure boot protections.
CVE-2024-9979 1 Redhat 2 Ansible Automation Platform, Enterprise Linux 2026-11-05 5.3 Medium
A flaw was found in PyO3. This vulnerability causes a use-after-free issue, potentially leading to memory corruption or crashes via unsound borrowing from weak Python references.
CVE-2025-32988 2 Gnu, Redhat 11 Gnutls, Ceph Storage, Discovery and 8 more 2026-11-05 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GnuTLS. A double-free vulnerability exists in GnuTLS due to incorrect ownership handling in the export logic of Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries containing an otherName. If the type-id OID is invalid or malformed, GnuTLS will call asn1_delete_structure() on an ASN.1 node it does not own, leading to a double-free condition when the parent function or caller later attempts to free the same structure. This vulnerability can be triggered using only public GnuTLS APIs and may result in denial of service or memory corruption, depending on allocator behavior.
CVE-2026-117932 1 Mozilla 1 Firefox 2026-11-05 8.8 High
Use-after-free in the DOM: Core & HTML component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6.
CVE-2026-117931 1 Mozilla 1 Firefox 2026-11-05 8.8 High
Use-after-free in the DOM: Events component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 115.44, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6.
CVE-2026-117930 1 Mozilla 1 Firefox 2026-11-05 8.8 High
Use-after-free in the DOM: Bindings (WebIDL) component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159, Firefox ESR 115.44, Firefox ESR 153.6, Thunderbird 159, and Thunderbird 153.6.
CVE-2025-12105 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel Els 2026-11-05 7.5 High
A flaw was found in the asynchronous message queue handling of the libsoup library, widely used by GNOME and WebKit-based applications to manage HTTP/2 communications. When network operations are aborted at specific timing intervals, an internal message queue item may be freed twice due to missing state synchronization. This leads to a use-after-free memory access, potentially crashing the affected application. Attackers could exploit this behavior remotely by triggering specific HTTP/2 read and cancel sequences, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
CVE-2026-112524 1 Apple 1 Macos 2026-11-05 7.7 High
A use-after-free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory.
CVE-2024-4418 1 Redhat 4 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els and 1 more 2026-11-05 6.2 Medium
A race condition leading to a stack use-after-free flaw was found in libvirt. Due to a bad assumption in the virNetClientIOEventLoop() method, the `data` pointer to a stack-allocated virNetClientIOEventData structure ended up being used in the virNetClientIOEventFD callback while the data pointer's stack frame was concurrently being "freed" when returning from virNetClientIOEventLoop(). The 'virtproxyd' daemon can be used to trigger requests. If libvirt is configured with fine-grained access control, this issue, in theory, allows a user to escape their otherwise limited access. This flaw allows a local, unprivileged user to access virtproxyd without authenticating. Remote users would need to authenticate before they could access it.
CVE-2024-2002 3 Fedoraproject, Libdwarf Project, Redhat 4 Fedora, Libdwarf, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-11-05 7.5 High
A double-free vulnerability was found in libdwarf. In a multiply-corrupted DWARF object, libdwarf may try to dealloc(free) an allocation twice, potentially causing unpredictable and various results.
CVE-2024-0775 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-05 6.7 Medium
A use-after-free flaw was found in the __ext4_remount in fs/ext4/super.c in ext4 in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a local user to cause an information leak problem while freeing the old quota file names before a potential failure, leading to a use-after-free.
