CVSS v3.1 |
| GeoNode is a geospatial content management system, a platform for the management and publication of geospatial data. Prior to 5.0.3, specially crafted requests can circumvent GeoNode upload service validation, allowing a low-privileged remote user to store and serve malicious files. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.3. |
| Insufficient isolation in the Avast sandbox file virtualization layer on Windows allows a local, low-privileged attacker executing inside the sandbox to write arbitrary files outside sandbox containment and execute code on the host.
The sandbox virtualizes file system operations by intercepting write requests to protected system directories. However, the virtualization implementation fails to properly validate write targets in certain edge cases, allowing writes to bypass the virtualization redirection and reach the actual host file system in protected locations.
An attacker can exploit this to overwrite executable files, system libraries, or startup configurations with arbitrary content, leading to code execution with host privileges on subsequent system operations or reboot. |
| The Live2DWebCanvas plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.1 via the download_one_file function. This is due to missing file extension whitelist and MIME type validation in download_one_file() when writing files derived from attacker-controlled manifest entries to the web-served plugin directory. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible when the plugin's apiType setting is configured as custom-local (self-hosted model mode), a non-default option that requires a paid license and prints the REST nonce and one-time session tokens into every front-end page. |
| The WP Libre Form WordPress plugin 1.5.0.1 does not validate the type of files uploaded through its form submissions, allowing unauthenticated attackers to upload PHP files to a web-accessible location and execute them, leading to remote code execution. |
| SOCFortress CoPilot focuses on providing a single pane of glass for all your security operations needs. Prior to 0.1.77, `POST /api/scoutsuite/generate-gcp-report` in `backend/app/integrations/scoutsuite/routes/scoutsuite.py` admits admin and analyst users and validates the uploaded content as `GCPScoutSuiteJSON`, but passes raw `file.filename` from the multipart header to `save_file_to_directory` in `backend/app/integrations/scoutsuite/services/scoutsuite.py`. The writer combines this filename with `scoutsuite-report` using `os.path.join` without sanitization or a resolved-path containment check. A traversal filename therefore writes the supplied JSON outside the intended report directory. In the reported root-running backend, the researcher demonstrated root-owned writes outside that directory and into the application source directory. This permits host-file overwrite subject to the accepted JSON-content constraint and can disrupt application operation; the demonstrated primitive does not establish unrestricted executable contents or unconditional cross-tenant confidentiality loss. Version 0.1.77 removes caller-controlled filenames from the affected route; unrestricted-content and direct-code-execution claims require separate curator reconciliation. |
| A flaw was found in tar. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious archive, leading to hidden file injection with fully attacker-controlled content. This bypasses pre-extraction inspection mechanisms, potentially allowing an attacker to introduce malicious files onto a system without detection. |
| A flaw was found in wildfly-core. A remote attacker, authenticated as a 'deployer' account, can import and deploy a malicious archive file from an untrusted source. This is achieved by leveraging WildFly libraries to craft a Java project that allows an HTTP POST request to upload and deploy the malicious archive. This could lead to further exploitation, such as arbitrary file read vulnerabilities. |
| In Yealink Plug-in Softwares before 2.35.219.0, there is an unauthorized file write vulnerability under specific scenarios, which may be exploited by attackers to achieve remote code execution. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in Rymera Web Co Pty Ltd. Woocommerce Wholesale Lead Capture allows Using Malicious Files.
This issue affects Woocommerce Wholesale Lead Capture: through 2.0.3.1. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in ThemeGrill Masteriyo - LMS learning-management-system allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects Masteriyo - LMS: from n/a through 2.3.2. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in Campcodes Complete Advance Loan Management System 1.0. This affects the function move_uploaded_file of the file /loan/application/banner.php. Such manipulation of the argument image leads to unrestricted upload. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in the PuMuKIT application allows a unauthenticated user to upload any type of file to the server, and to any path where the web server user has write permissions. This could also allow them to delete files. |
| Bagisto before 2.4.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated customers to upload HTML files via the RMA send-message endpoint without type or extension validation. Attackers can upload a .html attachment containing JavaScript served under /storage/rma-conversation/, executing script in the shop's origin when an administrator opens it. |
| The WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137 does not validate the extension of the file it actually stores when handling an import upload: it checks the extension of a separate request field while saving the uploaded file itself with WordPress's upload type-checking disabled, so an authenticated administrator can store a file with an arbitrary extension, including a PHP file, in the WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137's import directory. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-5961, whose extension check was applied to the wrong value. |
| File upload logic in Apache Struts is flawed. An attacker can manipulate file upload params to enable paths traversal and under some circumstances this can lead to uploading a malicious file which can be used to perform Remote Code Execution.
This issue affects Apache Struts: from 2.0.0 before 6.4.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.4.0 at least and migrate to the new file upload mechanism https://struts.apache.org/core-developers/file-upload . If you are not using an old file upload logic based on FileuploadInterceptor your application is safe.
You can find more details in https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/WW/S2-067 |
| Certain models of ASUS routers have an arbitrary firmware upload vulnerability. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary system commands on the device. |
| The executable file warning was not presented when downloading .xrm-ms files.
*Note: This issue only affected Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are unaffected.* This vulnerability affects Firefox < 125, Firefox ESR < 115.10, and Thunderbird < 115.10. |
| OpenVPN plug-ins on Windows with OpenVPN 2.6.9 and earlier could be loaded from any directory, which allows an attacker to load an arbitrary plug-in which can be used to interact with the privileged OpenVPN interactive service. |
| The K2 frontend article-attachment upload path accepts files whose extension is `.php`, and Apache's standard mod_php matches `\.php$` and executes them under the K2 web user. A K2 Author can upload a `shell.php`, then fetch `/media/k2/attachments/shell.php` and execute arbitrary PHP code in the web server's context. |
| Dell Wyse Management Suite, versions prior to 2605.0.3.683, contain an Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Remote execution. |
