CVE-2026-114550 1 Libwebsockets 1 Libwebsockets 2026-11-06 8.1 High
libwebsockets MQTT Protocol PUBACK Packet Handling Out-Of-Bounds Write Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of libwebsockets. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of PUBACK packets. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-31039.

An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. Processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to unexpected app termination.
CVE-2026-35549 1 Mariadb 1 Mariadb 2026-11-06 6.5 Medium
An issue was discovered in MariaDB Server before 11.4.10, 11.5.x through 11.8.x before 11.8.6, and 12.x before 12.2.2. If the caching_sha2_password authentication plugin is installed, and some user accounts are configured to use it, a large packet can crash the server because sha256_crypt_r uses alloca.
CVE-2026-120091 1 Temporal 1 Temporal 2026-11-06 8.8 High
Temporal Server compiles a Worker Controller Instance module, go.temporal.io/auto-scaled-workers, into its Worker Service, and that module registers a compute provider named k8s whose function is to manage workers running in a Kubernetes cluster. The k8s provider built its Kubernetes client from the client configuration supplied in the caller's request rather than from operator configuration, and building and using that client could run a command of the caller's choosing on the Worker Service host, under the account the server process runs as. Two frontend operations reach the provider. CreateWorkerDeploymentVersion requires a namespace write role. ValidateWorkerDeploymentVersionComputeConfig is registered as a read-only namespace operation, so an authenticated caller holding only a read role in a single namespace can reach the provider through it, and that route does not require a worker deployment to already exist. Execution happens while the submitted configuration is validated, so no scaling decision, task arrival, or unusual request sequence is required. Because the Worker Service process holds the persistence credentials for every namespace in the cluster and the cluster's TLS material, the consequence reaches beyond the caller's namespace to the cluster as a whole. The provider is present in the official temporal-server binaries and container images for the affected releases. The control that keeps it unreachable is the compute provider allowlist, the dynamic configuration setting workercontroller.compute_providers.enabled. On Temporal Server 1.31.0 through 1.31.2 that allowlist does not deny by default: when the setting is unset the check is skipped and every registered compute provider is permitted, k8s included, so a stock deployment of those releases is exposed. On 1.31.3 and later 1.31 releases, and on 1.32.0 and later 1.32 releases, the allowlist denies by default, and a deployment is exposed only where k8s has been added to it. The 1.30 release line does not include the Worker Controller Instance module and is unaffected. To determine whether a deployment is affected, check the following together. The deployed Temporal Server version is in an affected range. The Worker Service is running, which it is in the default service set and therefore in a stock deployment. The effective value of workercontroller.compute_providers.enabled contains k8s, or, on 1.31.0 through 1.31.2 only, is unset; check both the global value and every namespace-constrained override, because an override can add k8s for a single namespace. And authorization is configured, meaning a real authorizer and claim mapper are in place; a deployment running with no authorizer already grants every caller unrestricted access to every namespace, so it has no namespace boundary for this to cross. Deployments that use a custom authorizer should also check whether it permits ValidateWorkerDeploymentVersionComputeConfig to callers without namespace write access. The separate per-namespace dynamic configuration setting workercontroller.enabled does not gate the affected path on any affected release.
CVE-2026-18739 2 Popt-devel, Redhat 6 Popt-static, Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird and 3 more 2026-11-06 2.5 Low
A flaw was found in popt, a command-line option parsing library. An off-by-one error in the poptStuffArgs function, when repeatedly called by a host application or through deep alias nesting, can lead to corruption of internal program data. This corruption could potentially enable a local attacker to execute arbitrary code if the host application then unsafely processes the altered data.
CVE-2026-12528 1 Redhat 4 389 Directory Server, Directory Server, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-11-06 5.4 Medium
A flaw was found in 389 Directory Server in the __aclp__normalize_acltxt() function of aclparse.c. A malformed ACI (Access Control Instruction) string can trigger heap-buffer-overflow writes and reads during ACI parsing. The function fails to validate that the ACI keyword has sufficient length after whitespace stripping, leading to a 1-byte out-of-bounds write and subsequent out-of-bounds reads. An authenticated user with write access to the aci attribute could send a crafted ACI value to silently corrupt heap memory in the directory server process.
CVE-2026-14612 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 4.2 Medium
Two off-by-one errors in the FreeIPA ipa-otpd daemon's OAuth2 device authorization handler can cause out-of-bounds memory access when processing an oversized response from a configured external OAuth2/OIDC Identity Provider. An attacker who controls or can man-in-the-middle the IdP endpoint may be able to trigger ipa-otpd to write or read one byte past the end of a fixed-size buffer. Exploitation requires FreeIPA to be configured with an external IdP, attacker control or MITM of that IdP, and a user to initiate the OAuth2 device authorization flow. The most likely impact is limited denial of service affecting the ipa-otpd daemon.
CVE-2026-1485 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift Ai, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 2.8 Low
A flaw was found in Glib's content type parsing logic. This buffer underflow vulnerability occurs because the length of a header line is stored in a signed integer, which can lead to integer wraparound for very large inputs. This results in pointer underflow and out-of-bounds memory access. Exploitation requires a local user to install or process a specially crafted treemagic file, which can lead to local denial of service or application instability.
CVE-2025-5917 2 Libarchive, Redhat 6 Libarchive, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 3 more 2026-11-06 2.8 Low
A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library. This flaw involves an 'off-by-one' miscalculation when handling prefixes and suffixes for file names. This can lead to a 1-byte write overflow. While seemingly small, such an overflow can corrupt adjacent memory, leading to unpredictable program behavior, crashes, or in specific circumstances, could be leveraged as a building block for more sophisticated exploitation. This bug affects libarchive versions prior to 3.8.0.
CVE-2026-109976 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-pkcs11-afunix-socket-unlock daemon crashes when an AF_UNIX client connects to the data socket without a bound address, due to an integer underflow in the getpeername result handling. This causes a denial of service, preventing LUKS disk decryption from completing during boot.
CVE-2026-100229 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GStreamer's H.266 codec parser library (libgstcodecparsers). An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the DCI parsing function, where a reserved field value is incorrectly accepted, causing the parser to write beyond the bounds of an internal structure. An attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted H.266 bitstream to a third-party application that uses this library API, potentially causing a crash or memory corruption. No standard GStreamer pipeline element currently invokes the affected code path.
CVE-2026-114523 1 Drupal 1 Ffmpeg Image Toolkit 2026-11-06 9.8 Critical
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ("OS Command Injection") vulnerability in Drupal Ffmpeg Image Toolkit allows OS Command Injection. This issue affects Ffmpeg Image Toolkit versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.0.3.
CVE-2026-80887 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: use check_add_overflow for shader size+offset bound vmw_shader_define() validates the user-supplied shader window against its backing buffer with (u64)buffer->tbo.base.size < (u64)size + (u64)offset drm_vmw_shader_create_arg::offset is __u64 in the uapi; when it is near U64_MAX the unsigned addition wraps and the resulting tiny value passes the check. The unbounded offset is then stored in res->guest_memory_offset and forwarded to host SVGA shader-create commands. Use check_add_overflow() to detect the wrap and compare the resulting endpoint against the buffer size.
CVE-2026-74682 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix OOB write on Type II inbound URBs data_ep_set_params() sizes each URB transfer buffer before it adds the Format Type II transfer delimiter: u->packets = urb_packs; u->buffer_size = maxsize * u->packets; if (fmt->fmt_type == UAC_FORMAT_TYPE_II) u->packets++; /* for transfer delimiter */ u->urb = usb_alloc_urb(u->packets, GFP_KERNEL); buffer_size is computed from the pre-increment packet count and never recomputed, so for a Type II endpoint the buffer is one packet short of the packet count the URB is built with. prepare_inbound_urb() then lays out one iso frame per packet and never consults buffer_size: offs = 0; for (i = 0; i < urb_ctx->packets; i++) { urb->iso_frame_desc[i].offset = offs; urb->iso_frame_desc[i].length = ep->curpacksize; offs += ep->curpacksize; } urb->transfer_buffer_length = offs; urb->number_of_packets = urb_ctx->packets; The last descriptor therefore points one packet past the end of the transfer buffer, where the host controller writes device data on every inbound transfer. prepare_silent_urb() and prepare_playback_urb() bound their fill loops by ctx->buffer_size, so only capture is affected. fmt_type comes from the device's audio streaming descriptors, so any device advertising a Type II capture format hits this once userspace sets hw_params on the stream. KASAN on 7.2.0-rc5 (arm64) with a dummy_hcd/raw-gadget device, one report per inbound transfer: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in dummy_timer Write of size 64 at addr ffff0000186171c0 by task cons02/166 __asan_memcpy dummy_timer hrtimer_run_softirq Allocated by task 166: usb_alloc_coherent snd_usb_endpoint_set_params The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of allocated 64-byte region [ffff000018617180, ffff0000186171c0) Compute buffer_size after the delimiter packet has been accounted for, and bound the fill loop by buffer_size, as prepare_silent_urb() already does on the outbound side. This grows every Type II URB allocation by one maxsize packet. Discovered by XBOW, triaged by Baul Lee <baul.lee@xbow.com>
CVE-2026-74657 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: Fix fib_nlmsg_size() for RTA_VIA nexthops fib_nlmsg_size() still estimates nexthop space as if every gateway is encoded as an IPv4 RTA_GATEWAY attribute. IPv4 routes can also carry an IPv6 gateway, which fib_nexthop_info() dumps as RTA_VIA. As a result, route notifications can allocate an skb that is too small. fib_dump_info() then fails with -EMSGSIZE and rtmsg_fib() hits the WARN_ON() that marks such failures as a fib_nlmsg_size() bug. With panic_on_warn set, this becomes a kernel panic. Mirror the actual nexthop dump layout in fib_nlmsg_size(): account for IPv6 nexthop gateways dumped as RTA_VIA, for the no-header rtnexthop layout used inside RTA_MULTIPATH, and for RTA_FLOW only when it is actually present.
CVE-2026-74499 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-06 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix OOB write in snd_usbmidi_akai_output() snd_usbmidi_akai_output() computes its fill-loop bound buf_end = ep->max_transfer - MAX_AKAI_SYSEX_LEN - 1; as a signed int, so a small device-advertised bulk-OUT max_transfer makes buf_end negative. The loop guard then compares the u32 urb->transfer_buffer_length against that negative int: the usual arithmetic conversion turns buf_end into a large unsigned value, so the guard stays true and each iteration keeps appending SysEx framing and payload bytes past the end of the URB transfer buffer, which is only max_transfer bytes long. A USB device that advertises a tiny bulk-OUT endpoint can therefore trigger an attacker-length- and content-controlled heap out-of-bounds write when a process writes to the created /dev/snd/midiC*D* node. Return early when there is no room for even one SysEx, so the loop is never entered with a bound that would wrap. The loop is the last statement of the function, so bailing out is equivalent to it not running. Discovered by XBOW, triaged by Baul Lee <baul.lee@xbow.com>
